In order to investigate the effects of Samchilgen on thrombosis and elevated blood viscosity, rats injeted endotoxin into the caudal vein to make experimental thrombosis model were orally administrated solid extract of Samchilgen 1280mg/200g, and
then
observed platelet, fibrinogen, prothrombin time and FDP level.
Another group injected hydrocortisone acetate into muscular rump to make experimental elevated blood viscosity model were orally administrated Samchilgen, thereafter measured whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity, @ES The results were
summarized as
follows.
@EN 1. Platelet was decreased insignificantly in sample compared with the control group.
2. Fibrinogen Level was small increased in sample compared with the control group.
3. Prothrombin time was extended in sample compared with the control group.
4. FDP was decreased in sample compared with the control group.
5. Whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity were decreased significantly in sample compared with the control group.
According to the above results, it is considered that Samchilgen has only significant effects on whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity, therefore it is considered that Samchilgen can be applied to the disease related to elevated blood
viscosity.
